Conference Program

  Sunday
August 22.

Welcome reception Like a treasure box, Hungary may be small, but it is beautiful. The country has a rich history and culture, a unique gastronomy and is famous for its baths. The Welcome Reception would like to show you a glimpse of all this so that you want to see more of the country while spending your time in at ECVP. Registered delegates and accompanying persons are invited to spend an evening at the world-renowned Gellert Bath. A taste of Hungarian delicacies and Hungarian wines accompanied by open-air live music offers a memorable and unique environment to meet new colleagues and greet old friends.

Holography exhibition A small exhibition of holographical art presenting the work of Dieter Jung will be held in connection with ECVP 2004. The exhibition, entitled "The Extended Space", is organized in honor of Dennis Gabor, and it will be shown at ATELIERS PRO ARTS Gallery close to the conference venue. Dieter Jung is an internationally renowned artist of holography, and he is one of the speakers at this year's ECVP. In the evening of August 23, he will give a special introduction to the exhibition at the gallery for the participants of ECVP, followed by a small reception. The gallery is located in a newly renovated 19th century pipe factory which functions today as a cultural center with a restaurant. Come and see holography in a form that Dennis Gabor himself could not imagine, and if you like, stay for a pleasant dining experience.
